Description

This work presents a form of cultural dialogue, bringing ancient Chinese love songs together with modern American poetry, and an European choir with a drumming ensemble that takes its inspiration from Buddhism, whose members are simultaneously dancers, singers and performers. Western polyphony is juxtaposed by the sound of Asian gongs and giant drums with diameters of two meters, played by dancers according to a tradition originating many thousands of years ago. This mixture creates a sound unlike any other as well as an innovative theatrical art in which two contrasting traditions are unified in harmony. Christian Jost
