It was one of the very few academic series dedicated to a composer of the 20th century. With scholarly contributions on Paul Hindemith’s life and work, and the inclusion of valuable archival material from his estate, the yearbook served as a cornerstone for Hindemith research. Edited by the Hindemith Institute Frankfurt on behalf of the Fondation Hindemith, the publication now concludes after 53 years.
