Description

This work is part of his ’Constellation’ series, which began with Asterism for piano and orchestra (1967). Each piece was composed for solo instrument(s) and orchestra. Gémeaux was conceived as a work for two orchestras spatially separated from one another. As suggested by the title and orchestration what dominates throughout, is the notion of the number 2.
