Created on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Wiesbaden Mozart Society, this entertaining little piece is a colourful pot-pourri of motifs from The Magic Flute and Don Giovanni. It begins and ends with the flute-call of Papageno who presents some ‚exotic songbirds‘ from his aviary: Apart from Mozart, Engelbert Humperdinck and Modest Mussorgsky too form part of this musical delight.
