Concerto in B minor

Easy Concerto for Violin (1st Position) and Piano in B minor by Oskar Rieding.
Oskar Rieding was a German violinist and violin teacher. He is still known today for his easy violin concertos for beginners. The most famous of these is the Concerto Op. 35 in B minor. His fame also stems from his contribution to Hungarian music, particularly to the musical life of Budapest. Born in 1840 in northern Germany, he first attended the newly founded Academy of Musical Arts in Berlin and later the Leipzig Conservatory. Towards the end of the 1860s, he moved to Vienna. In 1871, Hans Richter, musical director of the National Opera House in Budapest, appointed Rieding concertmaster of the opera orchestra. He remained in Budapest for 32 years, composing violin concertos and many salon pieces for violin and piano. In retirement, from 1904, he lived in Cilli (Hungary) until his death in 1918.
