Description

Gaetano Donizetti's Concertino, written for a fellow student during his studies in Bologna, is one of the not very numerous standard works for cor anglais and orchestra. Stefaan Verdegem, professor at the Royal Conservatoire in Brussels, now presents a critical edition that includes Donizetti's autograph score from Paris as well as handwritten sources from Bologna and offers solutions to questions of key, instrumentation and significant variants in the work's form and ornamentation. The sales edition with newly prepared piano arrangement is ideal for performances with piano accompaniment; for performances with orchestra, the performance material is available on hire.
