Description

"Adiemus Colores" sees Karl Jenkins weaving his established and highly successful "Adiemus" concept together with the exotic and flamboyant sound world of Latin American music. In taking inspiration from composers including Dizzy Gillespie, Chano Pozo, Antônio Carlos Jobim and Astor Piazzolla, whilst retaining the ‘classical’ principles and instantly-recognisable vocal sound of "Adiemus", Jenkins has created a new work full of vibrancy painted in all colours of the rainbow.

‘Walk on a rainbow trail, walk on a trail of song, and all about you will be beauty. There is a way out of every dark mist, over a rainbow trail.’
(Navajo blessing)

A recording is available on Deutsche Grammophon (CD 479 1067).
