Following up on the popularity of the composer's baseball-inspired big band chart, Double Play, this shuffle opens with an ad lib solo for piano and grooves from start to finish. A stop-time section gives the brass ample opportunity to shine. This piece for advancing groups has notated rhythm parts, a memorable melody, and lots of dynamic contrast. Written or ad lib solos are assigned to trumpet and tenor sax, but the solo section may be opened up for more soloists.
