Beschreibung
Komponiert im Jahr 1873, ist Rheinbergers Abendlied wohl sein bekanntestes Chorstück überhaupt. Diese Bearbeitung für Blasorchester zeigt dessen außergewöhnliche lyrische Qualität und verwendet die ganze Bandbreite dynamische Kontraste. Zudem ist sie spezielle darauf abgestimmt dank einer flexiblen Instrumentierung auf unterschiedlichen Wegen aufgeführt zu werden. So ist die Aufführung immer effektvoll - ganz gleich ob das Stück von einer traditionellen Concert Band oder einem kleinen Kammerensemble vorgetragen wird.
