Here’s a great, moderately-fast-swing chart for advancing groups featuring the II-V progression that’s common in many popular standards. The angular melody featuring wide skips and scale-like intervals is first played by unison saxophones. Also included is a sax soli, lots of captivating ensemble passages, and a solo chorus that can be expanded at the director’s discretion.
