Description
This is a pocket score of Polka Schnell's "Thunder and Lightning", which is popular at New Year's concerts, Japan pop concerts, family concerts, etc.
In 1887, Johann Strauss II, who had left Vienna, composed the "fast polka" for the ball of the Herpheus Society, of which many artists were members. The score was newly created with reference to the revised version by the Strauss Society performed by the Vienna Philharmonic. Although it is concise, it explains the background and formation of the work, the types of polkas, and the analysis of the music.
