Description
The Scarf beruht auf Anton Tschechows Kurzgeschchte Die Hexe. Die 1955 komponierte Oper wurde am 20. Juni 1958 beim ersten Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto in einer Inszenierung von Gian Carlo Menotti zur Uraufführung gebracht. Kombinierbar ist der Einakter beispielsweise mit Hoibys The Italian Lesson oder This Is the Rill Speaking.
