Description
'Musik, musique, musi-ca, music is the joy of life!' Enjott Schneider, Joscha Schaback (text) and Paul Schäffer (arranger) composed the children's choral piece to commemorate Schott Music's 250th anniversary as a small-scale 'Ode to Joy' in celebration of singing.
The children's choir can be subdivided into different groups who alternately sing loudly and softly, high and low, or beautifully and weirdly. The first few verses are accompanied by the piano, cajón and double bass which are augmented in the second half by an orchestra. The piece is peppered with witty musical effects and the text becomes progressively more absurd. A separate edition for choir and piano is also available.
