Description
Between the years 1958 and 1965, the Swiss composer Heinrich Sutermeister wrote six large-scale cantatas for choir and orchestra which are considered as the pinnacle of his extensive choral output. The Sonnenhymne des Echnaton composed in 1965 was the penultimate work in this series which make extensive musical and technical demands on the four-part male choir.
