Continuing with his great contributions to literature for developing jazz groups, Les Sabina offers this catchy samba designed to give students a firm grasp of the exciting music of Brazil. The smooth melodic writing is within the concept of the Latin groove, and players are required to strive for balance and momentum. An ad-lib or as-written solo section is provided for tenor saxophone, and powerful unison lines come together for an energetic shout chorus. A guitar chord chart by Jim Greeson is included in each set.
