Polonaise brillante

This book compiles two of the most representative short pieces for violin and piano by the violinist and composer Wieniawski. Both pieces—No. 1, composed when the composer was still a teenager, and No. 2, composed in his prime—are masterpieces that, true to Wieniawski's background as a violinist, fully utilize the violin's characteristics, incorporating numerous technical techniques into the traditional Polish polonaise dance.
This edition includes insightful bowing and fingering instructions by Tokunaga Tsugio, one of Japan's leading violinists.
