In the Beginning there was Light … With Ouroboros Elisabeth Naske tells the story of the creation of our world as a thrilling music and dance performance. The unusual title stands for a symbol found in many ancient cultures: a snake biting its own tail and thus forming a close cycle. It is a symbol of eternity, of the world and the universe. The music takes this theme up by starting with lingering motives and developing them to more and more complex structures, thus illustrating the creation of our world.
