Description
The first movement in this suite of four orchestral pieces focuses on the paintings of Cornish artist Alfred Wallis. Originally a seaman, he turned to painting later in his life and was completely self-taught. Richard Ayres imagines him sitting in heaven watching St. Joseph who is occupied on a wood-working project.
