Description
In his deep affinity with Greek culture, Mikis Theodorakis has also undertaken a musical interpretation of the historically significant lyrical tragedy Medea by Euripides. The composer considers it an artistic imperative to explore the depths of the human soul through music. He views the myth of Medea as being timelessly topical: passionate themes such as love injustice and betrayal are elementary aspects of human existence.
