Description
The devil from Stravinsky's Histoire du Soldat rises from Lake Geneva, transforms himself into an angel, and dances a seductive waltz. This vision became the inspiration for this short piece, a transcription for cello and piano of a movement from the 2nd Divertissement Suisse, which is scored for a septet. A biographical note: At the time this gem was written, the composer was living in Geneva.
