Description

Jubellaut zum Jubiläum is a festive cantata in two senses: the work was commissioned for a festive occasion and also focuses on the topic of celebration. In sixteen humorous movements, the honoree and his well-wishers are presented with their expectations and emotions in an illumination of the full experience of celebration. The cantata involves children’s and youth choirs of highly differing abilities in a wide variety of musical forms ranging from simple children’s songs, canons and graphic notation to multi-choral and complex polyphonic movements. The singers are accompanied by an instrumental ensemble consisting of brass, woodwind, percussion and piano, or as an alternative, only by piano. Elisabeth Naske
