Description
Duo A15, the last of the first volume of Gemini Duos, for violin and bassoon is, like the Duo A3 for violin and viola, conceived very melodically, whereby the roles appear to be traditionally assigned: one instrument plays the principal voice while another accompanies. The work goes through diverse processes of harmonic transformation, whereby the composer was particularly concerned with transitions and conclusions. The work was written for the principal bassoonist of the Vienna Philharmonic, Harald Müller.
