Description
Frescoes 70 was composed in 1070 at the suggestion of Siegfried Fink. Using chamber music techniques, the work provides a demanding exercise for a variety of different percussive combinations.
The first four parts of the piece (Introduktion, Kontrapunkt, Rubato and Polymetrie) serve as an exposition in which the various percussion sounds are explored, and which, in the fifth and closing section (Finale/Konklusion) are formally and instrumentally integrated to form, with cadenzas, a broadly constructed development.
