Description

During the 1960s, Krzysztof Penderecki dedicated himself to the extension of the expressive possibilities of the orchestra. Compositions such as Anaklasis, Polymorphia and the Lukas-Passion became milestones in the music of the twentieth century. This series of groundbreaking works also encompasses two in which Penderecki explored the essence of sound. More than forty years later, Penderecki is now adding a third part as a response to a commission for the Malko Competition for young conductors.
