"Cette pièce a été écrite en 2006 (pour violoncelle et piano) pour une exposition consacrée à des artistes souffrant de schizophrénie. La base de la pièce est une succession de quatre accords, très simple et minimaliste. Une personne atteinte de schizophrénie entend des voix qui peuvent être très dérangeantes ; il y a un désir de silence. J'ai écrit ce morceau de manière à ce que mon fils Alex, qui souffre de cette maladie, puisse y entendre le calme et la méditation. Il s'appelle Blue Silence, car le bleu est parfois associé à la guérison".
