Steve Martland writes: ’The title is ironic. Bach and his keyboard inventions and American imperialism – a montage assembly, a series of self-destructive machine processes, fragments, fractures; everything discontinuous. But irony is not enough; art is not a mirror held up to reality but a force with which to shape it’.
