Description

This newly realized score of 200 Motels maintains all of Frank Zappa's original orchestration, arrangements, text and direction. From a series of versions of the originals, the whole was assiduously corrected and restored for publication even down to the composer's own staving by Kurt Morgan, Scoremeister to the Zappa Family Trust.
‘I believe in my heart of hearts that someone on the board [of the Philharmonic] said it's about time’, Gail Zappa said. ‘This music was written before our youngest children were even conceived and they have never had a chance to hear this music in a proper concert hall.’
