Description
’Subsong’ is an ornithological term describing a kind of unstructured birdsong entirely unconnected with the territorial songs of specific bird species. Subsongs lack a particular significance and are merely used by birds to train their vocabulary.
Using this concept, I have created a mold of a sequence of apparitions/ proliferations/shades of colour deriving from simple starting material. In part the sequence is highly complex, it is ever-present and dynamic, and segments are separated by attentive, self-reflective pauses in the manner of a landscape with bridges built into emptiness and paths leading to nowhere.
