Description
The mini oratorio Schwarzer Schnee highlights the worldwide attacks on the human right of freedom of the press. The topic of human rights has previously formed the basis of a number of René Staar’s compositions, but the evolution of intensive harmony from the powerful text gives this work a unique and mysterious atmosphere. The individual suffering and painful experiences of journalists within this context are incorporated into the multifaceted, through-composed piece.
