This is a study score of Yasushi Akutagawa's "Symphony No. 1". This is the composer's only numbered symphony, which was completed and premiered in a three-movement version in 1954 and revised to a four-movement version in 1955. Throughout the songs, you can feel the influence of the music of the former Soviet Union, to which the composer is said to have been inclined.
