Description
This is a full-tone pocket score (with commentary) of Yasushi Akutagawa's "Symphony No. 1". This is the composer's only numbered symphony, which was completed and premiered in a three-movement version in 1954 and revised to a four-movement version in 1955. Throughout the songs, you can feel the influence of the music of the former Soviet Union, to which the composer is said to have been inclined.
This book has been newly revised and reprinted from the first edition published in March 1991.
