About Renate Bruce-Weber

Renate Bruce-Weber was born in Braunschweig in 1956. At the age of seven, she took her first violin lessons and received numerous prizes and scholarships, such as with 'Jugend musiziert' and the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, USA. She studied violin with Professor Ludwig Müller-Gronau at the North West German Academy of Music in Detmold and chamber music with Professor Wilhelm Isselmann.
She taught violin at the Hamburg Conservatoire and founded the children's orchestra 'Violinis' with whom she has given many successful concerts. Apart from the classical repertoire gradually introduced to the 7- to 13-year-old violin pupils, modern music (pop pieces and poems) forms part of the repertoire as well.
Since 2003 she has taught mainly children from Hamburg / St. Pauli in cooperation with primary schools in Hamburg.
She works as a self-employed violin teacher and violinist in Hamburg.
