Description
Two editions of Poulenc's delightful little piece "Voyage to the Isle of Cityre" are included in one volume, the original two-unit version and the continuous arrangement version!
This is a small piece for two pianos composed by Poulenc in 1951 for the American pianist duo Gold and Fitzdael. Due to the style of Vals = Musette, it is a fun work that has the lightness and gorgeousness of Poulenc, although it is small with a performance time of about 2 minutes.
This edition contains two versions of the original music that Mr. Hiroshi Kadono, who is active in teaching piano duos in Japan, carefully revised the original music and arranged it into a four-hand series for one unit, both of which have been carefully thought out so that they can be played effectively. The commentary is by Poulenc researcher and pianist Makiko Suzumura.
