Description
This composition, as well as the Romanza for two violins and two violas concertante and strings, is based on themes taken from my setting of Psalm 4.
It may be performed on its own or in conjuction with the Romanza.
When the two works are performed together, I have found it more satisfying to perform the Romanza after the Fugue.
Alexander Goehr.
