Product Details

Description

To a commission from the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid, Krzysztof Penderecki wrote his second contribution to a genre that holds great fascination for him. In his Concerto grosso No. 2 five solo clarinets converse with the orchestra, but mainly with each other. Their lines intertwine playfully with each other in the scherzando passages playfully, now and again interrupted by tender adagios. The Concerto’s special aural charm is due to the clarinet sounds that merge and drift apart.
