This composition was written as a compulsory piece for the International Tadeusz Wroński Solo Violin Competition 2025 in Warsaw. The competition is the only one for solo violin to date and is one of the most difficult of its kind and featuring highly virtuosic works by the likes of Johann Sebastian Bach, Béla Bartók, Eugène Ysaÿe and Henryk Wieniawski. The Polish composer Krzysztof Meyer is contributing a new virtuoso piece for the seventh edition of the competition with his commissioned work Con effetto.
