Beginning Rock Harp

Top professional harp-player Don Baker shows you how to create those mean  rock sounds on this great new video! Having mastered the 'c' scale and learnt how to play single notes clearly and distinctly, you then move on to simple riffs, the techniques of note bending, triplet-tonguing, head rolls, fast rhythm playing and tone control. Electronic amplification and effects pedals, such as 'wah wah', digital delay and distortion, are demonstrated live by Don Baker and his band to show how the techniques sound in performance. All the exercises and riffs are simply explained and shown in easy-to-follow standard music notation on the screen and in the booklet.

Don Baker is a leading authority on harmonica playing, and serves as a judge for the prestigious World Harmonica Competition. He is the author of a number of books and videos, and has performed with many legendary harpists. He has toured extensively, recorded many albums and featured in session work and TV commercials. His music has been recorded by the great Charlie McCoy. An accomplished actor, he has recently made his screen debut in 'In The Name Of The Father".
