About Cort Lippe
Cort Lippe, born 1953 in Birmingham/Alabama, USA, is currently director of the Lejaren Hiller Computer Music Studios of the Buffalo University, New York. Lippe studied composition with Larry Austin in the United States and researched the music of the Renaissance in his studies in Italy. For several years he worked at the Institute of Sonology in Utrecht founded by G.M. Koenig and later at the CEMAMu in Paris founded by Iannis Xenakis. He also worked at the IRCAM, Paris where he developed several new applications for live-elecronics. Through courses and seminars he transferred his technical and compositional knowledge onto colleagues and peers.www.music.buffalo.edu/faculty/lippe
