About Wolfram Graf
Wolfram Graf, born in Dornstetten in the Black Forest, studied piano (Prof. Gunther Hauer) at the University of Music in Karlsruhe, organ (Prof. Leo Krämer) and composition (Prof. Theo Brandmüller) in Saarbrücken and musicology (Prof. Dr Reinhard Wiesend), religious studies (Prof. Dr Ulrich Berner) and ethnology (Prof. Dr Thomas Bargatzky) at the University of Bayreuth. Awarded PhD in 2002. Regular performances as a pianist and concert organist. Graf taught organ and music theory at the University of Bayreuth. He teaches composition at the Music Academy for Protestant Church Music in Bayreuth. Longstanding co-organiser of the concert series “Zeit für Neue Musik” [Time for new music] in Bayreuth, together with the festival’s founder, Prof. Helmut Bieler, until the latter’s death in January 2019. Publications with the Goetheanum publishing house as well as work as a freelance author and lecturer
