Description

‘It is only with the heart that one can see well. What is essential is invisible to the eye.’ The French poet and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry achieves consummate stylistic lightness in his famous tale featuring the small prince who sees the world through the eyes of a child while simultaneously expressing profound philosophical thoughts. Peter Wittrich has created a chamber music version of this story. The percussion part depicts the plane crash and the infinite depths of the solar system. A narrator presents the plot and can potentially also sing the altus part. Der kleine Prinz is also available in a version for piano and narrator.
