About Gabriel Venzago

Gabriel Venzago (*1990) studied conducting in Munich and Stuttgart. He received scholarships from the German Music Council and has since the 2020/21 season been part of the “Maestro von Morgen” program. From 2015 to 2017, he was Assistant Conductor with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, later Vocal Coach at the theater in Hildesheim, and Assistant Conductor at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin. He has been First Assistant Conductor at the Landes theater in Salzburg since 2019/20. Guest conducting engagements have taken Venzago to the NDR Radiophilharmonie in Hanover, the Nuremberg State Theater, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra, the Württemberg Philharmonic Orchestra in Reutlingen, and the Mozarteum Orchestra in Salzburg. He substituted at the last moment for Constantinos Carydis at the Munich Opera Festival and for Leslie Suganandarajah at the premiere of "Macbeth" in the Salzburg Felsenreitschule. In Summer 2022 Gabriel Venzago was appointed Principal Conductor of the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz.
