John O'Neill


John O'Neill is an established performing musician and instrumental teacher, specialising in jazz and bossa nova. He is best known as the author of educational books for saxophone, clarinet and flute, including the best-selling ‘Jazz Method For Saxophone’.

John’s capacity as a workshop presenter is two-fold: as a saxophonist, with specialist knowledge of the problems of doubling clarinet and flute, and as a teacher of jazz improvisation for any instrument.

Suitable for

Anyone interested in teaching or performing jazz, from beginners to
experienced players. Not limited to any specific instrument.

Facilities required

Participants’ own instruments, a piano or keyboard, and a CD player/stereo system (preferably with balance control or separate left/right volume controls)
