Sara Cunningham
 

Sara Cunningham is Head of Vocal Studies at the London College of Music’s Junior College.

Sara trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and the London College of Music, receiving a scholarship from Sir Malcolm Arnold for postgraduate study. She now studies singing privately with Hazel Wood.

A former editor in the Product Development Department of Boosey & Hawkes, where she conceived and developed a number of singing resources, Sara combines work as a singing teacher and singer with freelance editorial work in the field of music, with companies such as Schott Music, Peters Edition and Rhinegold Publishing.

Sara is Head of Vocal Studies at the London College of Music’s Junior College, where she has developed and coached the Junior Choir as well as giving one-to-one singing tuition. She runs a private teaching practice in her hometown of Tunbridge Wells, Kent, where she is Junior Choir Director at the Church of King Charles the Martyr.

Sara also takes vocal workshops for schools and community groups, targeting those who do not read music or have little opportunity to sing regularly. Sara provides an encouraging environment in which students are able to develop skills with growing confidence. She is a member of the ISM, BVA and AOTOS.
