Meet four totally different film composers: Paul Dessau, pioneer and experimenter at the very beginning of sound film in the 1920’s. Nino Rota, who created unique and unmistakable film scores for the great films of the Italian directors Fellini and Visconti. Enjott Schneider, whose moving soundtracks especially for TV-productions are widely enjoyed, and who renders outstanding services to the theory of film music. And Howard Shore, whose distinguished scores accompany some of the greatest Hollywood blockbusters of our time.
