Vocal Warm-Ups - Vocal Formation
Regular voice training has a positive effect on the choral sound – that has been noticed more and more in the past years.
Today, warming up before rehearsing is part of the weekly choir practice of most choirs. Like an athlete who keeps in shape with regular exercises and does a warm-up run before every event, or like a violinist who has to tune his instrument before every performance, the choir singer has to warm up his instrument – both his body and voice – and even the choir as a group has to be 'warmed up' anew again and again.
200 Vocal Warm-Ups
Are you a choir director looking for new warm-up exercises that are effective and at the same time fun to do? Klaus Heizmann has compiled 200 exercises for extensive choral voice training:
from loosening-up exercises for the whole body via breathing exercises to resonance and intonation. Each chapter begins with a brief informative introduction by the author.
So spreche ich richtig aus
What is the correct pronunciation: richtik or richtich? It's ch of course. That should be perfectly natural, but many speakers and singers pronounce it wrongly nevertheless. This book provides clear and comprehensive support for the correct German pronunciation – both for singing and speaking. The author explains precisely the correct pronunciation of vowels and consonants and points to frequent pronunciation errors. A practical and informative book for singers, choir directors and speakers.
