Description
These pieces for string orchestra not printed until 1989 date from a much earlier time having -little to do with Penderecki’s own style – from whatever the epoch. Penderecki composed -these three pieces, a sad but beautiful aria and two powerful minuets „in the old style“, in 1963 for a film. This film was the great and famous three-hour film „Die Handschrift von Saragossa“ by the important Polish director Wojciech Has. The piece was recorded on the Wergo CD 60172-50.
