Preventing the destruction of the most valuable musical frescos of his homeland is the goal of the internationally known sound researcher Arsenije Jovanovic, who has published on this CD rare historical recordings of the Serbian Orthodox Church from his own archive. The Ensemble Rukovet, which not longer exists, was a mixed choir of music students; the female choir recorded in 1963 during a mass at the monastery in Ljubostinja was, by contrast, composed of women from the country.
