Diese Bearbeitung des schottischen „Skye Boat Song” wurde ursprünglich 1956 für den Zyklus „Four Songs from the British Isles” komponiert, jedoch noch vor dessen Drucklegung durch die Bearbeitung eines anderen Liedes ersetzt und geriet in Vergessenheit. Eine Abschrift wurde zufällig bei der Verlagerung des Londoner Verlagsarchivs nach Mainz im Jahr 2002 entdeckt. Tippetts Autorschaft ist jedoch unstrittig.
Das Lied hat einen sanften Charakter, und die Bearbeitung verstärkt die Schlichtheit und Offenheit der Vorlage. Die Stimmführung ist allerdings sehr gekonnt und anspruchsvoll. Das Stück sollte als Einzelwerk oder als Anhang zum originalen Zyklus aufgeführt werden.
