Description
In my Pater noster, the orchestral introduction is followed by the theme sung by the choir to a Latin text. In the first variation, the soloists interpret the German text and in the second variation soloists and choir sing both texts in alternation. After a choral fugue on the Latin doxology ’Quia tuum est regnum’ [’For thine is the kingdom’], soloists and choir are united in the coda to sing a hymnal ’Amen’. (Stefan Heucke)
