Description

Stravinsky had recently settled into his Hollywood exile when choreographer George Balanchine commissioned him to write a short ballet to accompany the Barnum and Bailey Circus’ baby-elephant act.  Circus Polka was the result and was performed more than 400 times with the circus. To this day it hasn’t lost any of its charm!
